Ham’s F-12 Medium is modified from the complex Ham’s F-10 formula that contains amino acids, vitamins, and trace elements at optimum concentrations. It was originally developed for the serum free culture of Chinese Hamster Ovary cells, primary Rat Hepatocytes and Prostate Epithelial Cells. It is now used today for the clonal toxicity assay with CHO-cells and supports the growth of a variety of normal, fastidious, and transformed cells with or without serum.
