Biological Buffers

The Biological Buffers on offer are the TBE, TAE and SSC Buffer which all have different uses:

- The TBE Buffer is most commonly used for DNA and RNA polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. It is used with non-denaturing or denaturing gels and routinely used for DNA automated sequencing gel.

- The TAE Buffer is used for electrophoresis of nuclei acids in agarose and polyacrylamide gels. This buffer can be used for genomic and large supercoiled DNA as well as a running and gel preparation buffer.

- SSC Buffer is used as a hybridization buffer to control stringency for washing steps in protocols for Southern blotting, situ hybridization, DNA Microarray or Northern blotting.
