The ProDSS Total Algae-Phycoerythrin (TAL-PE) saltwater sensor is used for early detection of blue-green algae, which can lead to harmful algal blooms. This dual-channel fluorescence-based sensor has a channel for the accessory pigment phycoerythrin, commonly found in saltwater blue-green algae. The second channel, however, is for chlorophyll, which can be relevant for all types of problematic algae, including red tide and brown tide algae. The Total Algae sensor is perfect for applications like beach monitoring, vertical or horizontal profiling, and source water monitoring for potentially toxic algae - especially when paired with the ProDSS multiparamter system. Built for the field, this sensor features welded titanium construction and military-specification connectors which are ideal for rugged conditions. Similar to other smart sensors, the TAL has onboard memory, processing, and allows for sensor-zeroing to be performed on-site.
EXO Total Algae - PE Sensor, Ti, for monitoring chlorophyll & phycoerythrin in saltwater. A digital smart dual channel sensor that measures and outputs both chlorophyll & blue-green algae with options for ug/L and RFU outputs.
With wet-mateable connectors optimized for saltwater use and sealed welded titanium design.
You can complete calibration in less than 15 minutes using EXO's suite of smart sensors and intuitive KOR interface software.
Sensor must be installed into an EXO Sonde to function. Does not function on its own.

The ProDSS Total Algae-Phycocyanin (TAL-PC) freshwater smart sensor is a dual-channel fluorescence-based sensor used for early detection of blue-green algae which can lead to harmful algal blooms. This sensor has two channels: one for phycocyanin, an accessory pigment commonly found in freshwater blue-green algae, and one for chlorophyll a, found in all algae. The Total Algae sensor is perfect for applications like beach monitoring, vertical or horizontal profiling, and source water monitoring for potentially toxic algae – especially when paired with the ProDSS multiparamter system. Built for the field, this sensor features welded titanium construction and military-specification connectors which are ideal for rugged conditions.
