This PCR kit is designed for the detection and quantification of Salmonella Spp in food samples after enrichment steps according to standard microbiology procedures. It can be used to confirm suspect colonies isolated in selective culture media. This kit is used as a detection system for Salmonella in food samples, it complies with the technical specifications of the method § 64 LFGB BVL 00.0098 developed by the group "Microbiology of molecular biological methods" of the German Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety and evaluated in an interlaboratory test with 13 participants. The PCR primers and probes contained in this kit complies with DIN 10135: 2013-05 (Microbiology of food and animal feeding stuffs - Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for the detection of foodborne pathogens - Method for the detection of Salmonella). The set of primers and proves is compatible with a viability PCR procedure.
